Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour

  • 24 mini Reese’s Cups

  • 48 candy eyes

  • chocolate icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a large bowl, mixer butter and sugars together. Add peanut butter, then egg and vanilla. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Remove chilled dough and roll into 3/4-1 inch balls (we found smaller dough balls were better). Place on an ungreased baking sheet, bake for 10 minutes or until done.

  4. Using a spoon, push down the center of each cookie. Transfer to wire rack.

  5. While cooling, pipe the chocolate icing onto each cookie, drawing out 8 legs.

  6. Place one mini Reese’s Cup on each cookie.

  7. Dot each candy eye with chocolate icing, then place on each Reece’s Cup .

  8. Place in fridge for 10 to 15 minutes so they firm up.
